ZVORNIK, July 27 (FENA) - Delegations of Bosnia and Herzegovina headed by the Ministry of Security of BiH Selmo Cikotić and the Republic of Serbia led by the Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandar Vulin met in the premises of the City of Zvornik.

The meeting was also attended by directors of security agencies of the two countries.

They discussed the activities on the implementation of international agreements signed today between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

These are agreements on border cooperation, border crossings and common checkpoints at border crossings. The two delegations also signed the Annex to the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of Serbia for joint checkpoints at the border crossings Bratunac - the New Bridge and Ljubovija - the New Bridge.

"For the first time, we had such a competent representation of the two ministries, but also of a larger number of agencies that are responsible for the fight against organized crime and for cooperation between the two countries in the field of security. I think that today we have achieved a kind of expected understanding on the basis of the already existing good cooperation between the two ministries," said Minister Cikotic.

He emphasized that there were talks about illegal migration, which are a threat to both Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia, and that this meeting is a new step in the cooperation between the two countries when it comes to security threats.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, stated that he was especially pleased that they signed agreements today that will make people's lives easier.

"We have waited too long for the bridge to be operational, we have waited too long for people to shorten travel time, for goods to become cheaper," said Vulin.

He emphasized that as today, the movement of people between the two countries will be faster, more controlled and cheaper. He also touched on the topic of illegal migration, where he said that "neither Serbia nor Bosnia and Herzegovina can be expected to be a parking lot for migrants."
