SARAJEVO, August 5 (FENA) - In accordance with its mission, defined goals and recognized tasks in the "FBiH Development Strategy 2021-2027", the Development Bank of FBiH has established three new credit lines for three areas - IT sector and digital transformation, improvement of energy efficiency, and renewable energy projects, Director of the FBiH Development Bank Semir Fejzić told FENA.
The Bank's Management Board created and the Supervisory Board approved project financing through three credit lines whose terms include terms of up to 12 years with a grace period of up to 18 months, and a single interest rate of 2.5 percent per annum, fixed for the entire loan repayment period. With a fixed interest rate, as Fejzić pointed out, FBiH Development Bank takes over the currency and increasingly certain inflation risk.
“Credit lines are operational for all potential, interested legal entities that can already apply, and in connection with projects related to renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and the IT sector and digital transformation. The same rules apply to everyone, i.e. the conditions are the same for everyone regardless of the size of the company, which meets the prudential requirements for this type of debt,” said Fejzić, adding that more detailed information can be found on the website of the FBiH Development Bank.
According to him, the goal of forming a credit line for long-term loans to IT sector and digital transformation is to emphasize the importance of achieving strategic goals and development of the Federation of BiH in IT sector by accelerating economic development and contributes to the growth of employment and productivity, which are the most important results of the realization of this credit line.
When it comes to credit lines for long-term loan to improve energy efficiency, the goal is to enable small, medium and large enterprises and government agencies and all institutions whose founders to achieve significant savings and improve energy efficiency with simple organizational changes, without high investment costs, the practice of conscientious use of energy is established, which in addition to reducing costs increases productivity and identifies the potential for energy savings through data analysis, while reducing energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
The goal of credit lines for long-term loans for renewable energy projects is to encourage an increase in the share of renewable energy sources in final energy consumption through stimulating interest rates in the FBiH thus reducing dependence on imports of energy raw materials and electricity, as well as reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
