ZENICA, August 11 (FENA) - Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sadik Babur Girgin, visited the City Administration of the City of Zenica today, where he met and had a short conversation with Mayor Fuad Kasumović.
Girgin informed them that he had recently taken over the duty of ambassador to BiH and that he wanted to visit Zenica because, as he said, he considers that city very important. Girgin reminded that, before this meeting, he met with the Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC) Mirnes Bašić and the President of the Assembly of ZDC Ćazim Huskić.
“Our cooperation with Zenica, as with the city and the canton, dates back to the distant past. We have been cooperating together for many years. Today, I had the opportunity to talk with the mayor about the continuation of our successful cooperation,” said Girgin.
He noted that he sees "great potential for the continuation of a very successful and very fruitful cooperation between our two countries." During his visit to Zenica-Doboj Canton, he announced that he would visit more places in this canton.
Zenica Mayor Kasumović expressed satisfaction that he had the opportunity to host "the Excellency of our friendly state of Turkey."
“We talked about economic, cultural and any other cooperation between the City of Zenica, between BiH and the Republic of Turkey. The results of today's talks and negotiations about the future cooperation of these two friendly countries will be announced very soon,” Kasumović pointed out.
