Turković: Consider the introduction of incentive measures for vaccination

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, August 18 (FENA) - Deputy Chair of the BiH Council of Ministers and BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turković has sent an initiative to the BiH Council of Ministers to launch a campaign to promote vaccination and consider introducing incentive measures, such as providing a day off to all employees who are vaccinated.

As she announced on her Facebook profile, Minister Turković calls on public and private companies, employers' associations, trade unions and other institutions to stimulate employees and enable them to participate in the mass immunization that has begun in our country. Also, Minister Turković called on all other state institutions, entities, cantons and municipalities to encourage employees to be vaccinated, to give them a day off or to stimulate them to be vaccinated in other ways.

“Finally, we have enough vaccines. We are also expecting new shipments. A stable epidemiological situation is a great opportunity to carry out as much immunization as possible. According to information from the field, the response of citizens to immunization could and should be significantly higher. Therefore, I believe that we are all obliged, in accordance with the possibilities and competencies, to stimulate citizens to protect themselves and others from the virus,” stated Minister Turković.
