International organizer of human trafficking from Afghanistan arrested in Bihać

SARAJEVO, August 19 (FENA) - The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, in cooperation with members of the Intelligence and Security Agency (OSA) and the FBiH Ministry of Interior, today located and imprisoned in Bihać a person with the initials PK, an Afghan citizen, suspected of being one of the largest organizers of the international human trafficking chain on the Western Balkans route.

For a long time, the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, in cooperation with the Intelligence and Security Agency, has taken all necessary operational measures and actions on the territory of BiH in order to find the said person. After the end of the activities of the competent prosecutor's office, the suspect will be expelled from BiH, and he will be placed under supervision in the Immigration Center, until the necessary conditions for his removal from BiH are met, the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs said.

In the coming period, the Service, in cooperation with other competent both domestic and international security bodies, will undertake such and similar activities, which have the priority goal of detecting and preventing irregular migration, and thus contributing to the protection of overall security of citizens in BiH.
