SARAJEVO, August 25 (FENA) - A hearing in the 'Zijad Mutap and others' case was held at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina this morning.
The indictment covers Zijad Mutap, Alisa Ramić-Mutap, Hasan Dupovac, Josip Barić and Muamer Ožegović. All the accused pleaded not guilty to all counts of the indictment.
"Both our clients, as well as the other defendants, pleaded not guilty. As you may have heard, the case will be assigned to the Trial Chamber later in the day, so we will know who will act as a Trial Chamber in this case. A hearing for the main trial in this case will be scheduled within 30 to 60 days," said Alisa Mutap's lawyer, Nina Kisić.
She further said that the first hearing to be held at the beginning of the main trial would be a hearing to read the indictment, and at that hearing the parties would have the opportunity to make introductory remarks.
She also said that there is absolutely no possibility that this indictment could be supplemented or amended.
Muris Memić, the father of the victim Dženan Memić, said that the investigation is continuing in this process.
"As we expected, criminals will always say they are not guilty. This is an organized criminal group that is ready to commit a crime, hide it and eventually deny it. We managed to get to court. There are a huge number of witnesses, I am glad that I will be the first witness to testify," said Memić, announcing that an investigation into the murder will be opened soon.
