SARAJEVO, August 26 (FENA) - Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vojin Mitrović held a meeting today with the President of the Turkish company Tasyapi Emrullah Turanli, on the occasion of the official visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The interlocutors discussed the implementation of the infrastructure project for the construction of the Sarajevo-Belgrade-Sarajevo motorway, which is the result of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in infrastructure and construction projects.
As it was pointed out at the meeting, the priority is the phase that is ready for realization, i.e. design and construction of the sections Rača - Bijeljina - Brčko. Currently, the most important thing for the realization of this project is the signing, i.e.defining a commercial contract between the company Tasyapi and RS Motorways.
The draft contract was forwarded to RS Motorways and is currently in the phase of harmonization, i.e. negotiations on important elements of the commercial contract itself, namely the price and financing conditions, which will also be one of the topics at tomorrow's meeting of BiH and Turkish transport ministers.
As defined by the Agreement signed in Ankara, Turkey has committed to provide funding for the implementation of this infrastructure project.
Representatives of Tasyapi pointed out that they are ready to start the realization, design and construction of the motorway from Rača to Bijeljina immediately after signing the commercial contract, the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH announced.
