ZENICA, August 30 (FENA) - Turkish Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Sadik Babur Girgin attended the opening of a classroom for textile technicians at the Secondary Mixed School 'Mladost' in Zenica, equipped by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
Girgin reminded that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also spoke about the importance of BiH for Turkey during his visit last week, but also that the City of Zenica, where Turkish soldiers have been staying for more than 25 years, has a special place in relations between the two countries.
"We are very pleased to be able to see these classrooms today, which have been renovated and equipped through TIKA. I am very pleased that this school, which I have heard has a tradition of about 80 years, has received assistance from Turkey which will help its development. I am especially glad that teachers and students will benefit greatly from it," said Ambassador Girgin.
He underlined that the equipment they donated will enable the students of this school in Zenica to gain the best possible knowledge and become competitive on the labor market.
The Director of TIKA in BiH, Muhamed Unal, expressed content that they provided funds and quality equipment for the renovation and equipping of these specialized classrooms.
"We equipped two classrooms, and we donated sewing and computer equipment for students. We want the equipment to enable the development of the production sector and for it to be able to further develop and bring great benefits. We donated very high-quality equipment with which they will be able to improve their knowledge to the highest level," said Unal.
TIKA director reminded that this year they have already donated sewing equipment to the Zenica Penitentiary, which is now able to produce textile products for its own units, and in the future for all other prison units in BiH, which will further reduce costs.
