SARAJEVO, September 2 (FENA) - The price of gas in FBiH will not change until the end of the year, despite the increase in the world market, it was pointed out today in Sarajevo at a press conference regarding the supply of gas to the Federation of BiH.
FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić said that the Decree on the organization of the gas industry in FBiH in 2007 clearly prescribed the rules, and that today, for the first time in many years, all participants in the chain are "in full composition".
He explained that according to that decree, Energoinvest is the only gas supplier in FBiH, BH-Gas is the operator of the transport system, while Sarajevogas is the distributor for the Sarajevo Canton, which is the largest consumer in FBiH.
He emphasized that the Financial Police had been investigating the operations of the previous BH-Gas administration for the last ten days and should submit a report by the end of the month.
He also specified that the Southern Interconnection project will be financed by the FBiH Government.
