SARAJEVO, September 7 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Denis Zvizdić talked today in Vienna, on the sidelines of the 5th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, with Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Arab Republic of Egypt Hanafy Aly el Gibaly about improving bilateral relations.
Zvizdić said that bilateral relations were good, without open issues, and he expressed hope that bilateral cooperation would continue and develop for mutual benefit. He informed Chairman El Gibaly about the current economic and political situation in BiH and pointed out that BiH is open to foreign investments and that there is a lot of room for promising investments in the telecommunications and transport sector, infrastructure, energy facilities, and food, metal, wood and military industry.
He especially pointed out tourism as an expanding economic branch and invited tourists from Egypt to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We emphasize that BiH, in addition to natural beauty, also has a specific combination of different cultures and civilizations. Our country has a diverse and cheaper offer than competing countries and due to the temperate climate is a pleasant place to stay and rest during the summer heat, and also during the winter provides a handful of opportunities for recreation and winter sports,” said Zvizdić and expressed hope that a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of tourism will be signed in the near future.
Zvizdić and El Gibaly agreed that in the coming period it is necessary to emphasize the encouragement of investments and mutual investments and for that purpose it is necessary to organize an economic-investment forum in order to get acquainted with investment opportunities in BiH, the BiH Parliamentary Assembly said.
