SARAJEVO, September 7 (FENA) - BiH Minister of Civil Affairs Ankica Gudeljević received the United Nations Regional Director Gwi Yeop Son and UN Resident Coordinator in BiH Ingrid Macdonald in a working visit.
They discussed the challenges of the pandemic.
Gwi Yeop Son emphasized the strength and determination of Minister Gudeljević to resist the greatest challenge facing the whole world. She added that she would cite the example of BiH and the success achieved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs as an example of good practice.
During the meeting, the importance of education in the current moment was emphasized, but also in the period that follows. In this regard, Minister Gudeljević, emphasizing the importance of coordination in such a difficult time, added that she held several ministerial conferences in the field of education, which contributed to better cooperation between the relevant sectors.
"It is not possible to achieve any result without dialogue, and my goal is to strengthen the dialogue and advocate for equal rights for all,” she pointed out.
She stated that the organization of ministerial conferences is important not only for the current situation but also for BiH's path towards European integration. The nine ministerial conferences in the field of health were a way of bringing together people for a common problem, as well as for the necessity of creating a common way of overcoming all the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Although the Ministry of Civil Affairs is not a state-level Ministry of Health, thanks to Minister Gudeljević's commitment to continuously coordinate all necessary activities and with the selfless support of UN agencies, great success was achieved in obtaining donations throughout the pandemic
At the end of the meeting, Macdonald also thanked Minister Gudeljević for enabling the procurement of vaccines for employees of UN agencies, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH announced.
