BANOVIĆI, September 10 (FENA) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, became an honorary citizen of Banovići, and a plaque was presented to him during the celebration of the Day of the Municipality.
Novalić was previously declared a persona non grata, at a time when the government in Banovići was formed by the Movement for Democratic Action (PDA). However, after winning the last local elections, Banovići Mayor Bego Gutić, along with other members of the majority in the Municipal Council, issued a decision annulling the original act designating the federal prime minister as an undesirable person.
"I prefer this recognition, because it comes after one opposite move. Under the then regime, I came to Konjuh because I am a mountaineer, but I really have no problem with Banovići and the people who live there. I am from around Banovići and we are now trying to find a new future for this area. Mine and my government's idea is to go into several projects that are important - said Novalić.
The day of the Municipality of Banovići was marked by a special all-day festive program.
