Council of National Minorities discusses consequences of not adopting Budget Law

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, September 17 (FENA) - The Council of National Minorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina discussed, at the initiative of Council member Nedžad Jusić, the consequences of not adopting the Law on the Budget of BiH Institutions and BiH's international obligations for 2021 for national minorities in BiH.

After the discussion, the members of the Council decided to invite representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH and the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH to the next session, in order to consider the possibilities of financing the Council of National Minorities in the coming period.

Information on the case of a minor Roma woman in Sarajevo, who, as it was said, disappeared in August this year, was presented at the session. In connection with this information, the members of the Council condemned all forms of abuse and trafficking in children, and decided to send a letter to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and other competent authorities to clarify the case and punish the perpetrators of this crime.
