SARAJEVO, September 17 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sifet Podžić received today in a working visit EUFOR Commander in BiH Major General Alexander Platzer on the occasion of the holding of the "Quick Response 21" exercise.
General Platzer informed Minister Podžić about the most important items regarding the upcoming exercise, such as the scenario of the exercise, the participating countries and the number of troops.
In addition, it was pointed out that the aim of the exercise is to show that the Armed Forces of BiH (AFBiH) and EUFOR are ready to respond to all types of natural disasters and help civilian structures in such situations.
Podžić emphasized the importance of this exercise for our country, with a special aspect on the exchange of knowledge, skills and interoperability of the AFBiH with the EUFOR forces.
The opening ceremony of the exercise "Quick Response 21" is planned for September 25 in the Butmir camp, while the exercise will take place from September 27 to 30, announced the Public Relations Office of the MoD BiH.
