PRISTINA, September 19 (FENA) - The 30th General Assembly of the Association of Balkan News Agencies - Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE) will be held in Bulgaria in 2022.

This decision was made unanimously by the members of ABNA on Saturday at the 29th General Assembly of the Association, which was held in Pristina, Kosovo, and was hosted by the news agency KosovaPress.

Also in 2022, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) will take over the chairmanship of ABNA-SE.

The BTA Director General Kiril Valchev suggested that the next assembly be held under the motto "Together for the truth" and that the main topic be the establishment of the Balkan News Room as a common space for news from the region.

The idea is for 12 ABNA members/news agencies to exchange one news piece a day between each other so that they can be further distributed by the rest of the members.

The draft of the rules of the Balkan News Room will be prepared by the current, previous and future presidents of the organization - Kosovo, Albania and Bulgaria, together with Branka Gabrijela Vojvodić, who was elected ABNA-SE Secretary-General on Saturday.

Vojvodić is the Director-General of the Croatian News Agency HINA.

At the 30th General Assembly of ABNA, a decision will be made on the candidacy for membership of the Montenegrin News Agency MINA.

The Federal News Agency (FENA) is a full member of ABNA-SE.
