Kavazović, Plenković discuss positive experience of Islamic Community in Croatia

ZAGREB, September 24 (FENA) - Raisu-l-ulema of the Islamic Community (IC) in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein-ef. Kavazović met today with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković in Banski dvori in Zagreb.

The interlocutors stressed the positive experience of the Islamic Community in Croatia, which is an organic part of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in terms of rights and freedoms of its members was emphasized.

An earlier meeting between Plenković and Kavazović was held in Sarajevo in 2016. Then it was emphasized that the Islamic Community in BiH is open for cooperation with all churches and religious communities in BiH.

Also, the expectation was expressed that all political representatives of the people and citizens of BiH should find solutions to issues of concern to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The delegation of the Islamic Community led by Rais Kavazović also included Mufti of Zagreb Aziz-ef. Hasanović, President of the Parliament of the Islamic Community in BiH Safet Softić, Vice President of the Parliament of the Islamic Community in BiH Mirza Šabić and Director of the Directorate for Foreign Affairs of the Riyaset Razim Čolić, it was announced from the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in BiH.
