SARAJEVO, September 30 (FENA) - The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has adopted the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance (PIO), which is of interest to war veterans, as the value of points for calculating special length of service increases from 0.5 to one and removes the limit for use of special length of service when retiring from 62 to 58 years of age.
The veterans believe that this has corrected the previous injustice towards them, and the act that regulates it was accepted today at the session of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, after the House of Representatives gave its support earlier.
At the beginning of today's session of the House of Peoples, the FBiH Government demanded that the bill be withdrawn from the announced agenda, since in the meantime it sent a text on the same matter to the parliamentary procedure, but the delegates remained with their colleagues and approved the bill by a majority of vote.
