SARAJEVO, October 5 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, held a meeting today with the lawyers of war veterans arrested and detained in Serbia (Husein Mujanović, Osman Osmanović and Edin Vranj).

“The meeting was attended by Vranj’s defense attorney Jesenka Rešidović and Sabina Hota, and via link, Mujanović's defense attorney Dušan Ignjatović and Osmanović's defense attorney Djordje Dozet. The Government of the Federation of BiH will help the defense of our heroes financially and by other means. We are already helping and contacting their families and we will not allow our heroes to be left alone in Serbian prisons,” said Prime Minister Novalić after the meeting.

Assistant FBiH Minister for Veterans and Disabled Veterans of the Liberation War Mirza Terzo was also present at the meeting and pointed out that veterans have a problem not only of a financial nature, but also in collecting documentation from the competent levels of government.

“In addition, they said that it would be good to have a greater presence of the media from BiH at the hearings because of the accurate and true informing of the public,” Terzo added.

So far, the Legal Aid Foundation has allocated around 2,300,000 KM to help members against whom war crimes trials are being conducted.
