SARAJEVO, October 7 (FENA) - The trial against the accused in the Dženan Memić case begins today before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Alisa Ramić, Zijad Mutap, Hasan Dupovac, Muamer Ožegović and Josip Barić are charged with organized crime, illegal mediation, hiding evidence, giving false testimony and aiding the perpetrator after the crime was committed.
The accused had previously pleaded not guilty to all counts of the indictment.
The indictment will be read to them today, which will mark the official start of the trial.
The accused were in custody until July 16, when the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina released them from custody with restraining orders.
Dženan Memić was killed in February 2016. That day, he was in Ilidža's Grand Alley with his girlfriend Alisa Mutap. As a result of the sustained injuries, the young man died at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo seven days later.
