TUZLA, October 7 (FENA) - Denis Zvizdić, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited the Government of the Tuzla Canton today, where he talked with the Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton Kadrija Hodžić and ministers in the Government of Tuzla Canton about possibilities for the House of Representatives to help the local community.
The focus was on the road unblocking of the Tuzla Canton as the most populous community in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“No one can dispute the fact that Tuzla Canton with all its capacities is in a kind of roadblock, because as far as I know there is not a single meter of built motorway or expressway and it is inexplicable why it is so in the most populous canton and there is no justification and all of us who have been in power before are responsible for this situation that we are witnessing today,” said Denis Zvizdić.
“I am committed to the harmonized and integrated development of Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with the comparative advantages that every other part of Bosnia and Herzegovina has. Tuzla is an economic basin that has a significant share in the economic development of BiH. Tuzla should not ask for something, it belongs to it,” said Zvizdić.
Prime Minister of the Tuzla Canton, Kadrija Hodžić, addressed the Government of Tuzla Canton and said that he would continue lobbying in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina for road unblocking.
“One of the reasons for the failure so far in resolving the roadblock of TC is weak lobbying. That is why we have taken big steps to lobby for the rights that belong to us. We will continue that process, and this meeting took place today in the sign of lobbying,” said Prime Minister Kadrija Hodžić.
