SARAJEVO, October 13 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić and BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović met with Andreas Norlén, Speaker of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Sweden.
During the meeting, they discussed the support that the Kingdom of Sweden has been providing to Bosnia and Herzegovina for years, especially in the reform and integration processes, the Presidency of BiH announced.
The members of the Presidency thanked for the admission of BiH citizens to the Kingdom of Sweden during the armed aggression against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the talks on European integration, they pointed out that the EU is expected to do more than declarative support when it comes to the issue of enlargement of the Western Balkan countries to the European Union because it is in the mutual interest.
It was emphasized that it is necessary to implement the Opinion of the European Commission on the candidate status for BiH's membership in the EU and thus preserve the democratic system of values in both the EU and BiH.
The officials also discussed the need for Bosnia and Herzegovina's integration into NATO.
