Austrian and SC MoI - Establishment of cooperation in the field of security

SARAJEVO, October 14 (FENA) - As part of a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo, coordinated by the BiH Ministry of Security, representatives of the Austrian Federal Interior Ministry visited the Sarajevo Canton Interior Ministry today, where they met with Minister Admir Katica and Police Commissioner Nusret Selimović. 

The delegation consisted of the director of the Joint Coordination Platform Berndt Körner, coordinator for support measures and activities in the field of combating illegal migration in BiH Sanja Selak-Ostojić and Thomas Obruča from the Department for Foreigners and Asylum of the Austrian Ministry of the Interior, it is said in a statement.

During the meeting, the guests from Austria were introduced to the structure and all segments of the work of the Ministry of Interior and the Police Administration, the results and challenges faced by members of this security agency, with special reference to the situation in the area of the Sarajevo Canton.

Minister Katica pointed out that the SC Ministry of the Interior is interested in establishing more intensive cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior in all areas, especially in the field of migration, because the exchange of experiences and good practices with European security agencies is the basis for acquiring new knowledge and skills. improving security in the Sarajevo Canton, the SC Ministry of the Interior announced.
