SARAJEVO, October 21 (FENA) - The announcement of the authorities in the RS to legalize the use of industrial oxygen as medicinal oxygen is inhumane and unscrupulous and it directly endangers the health of the people for the sake of interests of the profit, said the president of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) Mirko Šarović today.
"It is unbelievable that, thinking that the people bought their story about the "purity" of industrial oxygen, the RS government continued to look for ways to continue importing cheaper oxygen and thus ensure the continuation of its illegal actions," Šarović said.
He points out that the claims of the Prime Minister of the entity of Republika Srpska (RS), Radovan Višković, that industrial oxygen is the same as a medical one, are unacceptable.
"Only in our country, industrial oxygen producers supply the industry and hospitals with the same oxygen. It is the same oxygen from the same manufacturers. Industrial oxygen has the same alleged purity of 99.95 which the Prime Minister wants us to believe, but he does not talk at all about impurities and dirt in the oxygen that is intended for industrial production," says Šarović.
He also asks - how is it that nowhere in the world is industrial oxygen synonymous with the medical one except in Republika Srpska? Are we really the most unreasonable, not to use a harsher word, the people on the planet? he asked.
The existing regime in the RS is going even further, and thus it has passed its own Law on Medicines regardless of the cost because it wants to legalize industrial oxygen hoping to provide themselves with impunity from criminal responsibility," underlined Šarović.
