MOSTAR, October 21 (FENA) - A delegation of the FBiH Government led by Prime Minister Fadil Novalić visited the FBiH Public Health Institute in Mostar today and visited the Institute's premises together with its director Siniša Skočibušić.

The Institute has a central distribution unit for vaccines in the Federation of BiH and a system for storing vaccines, including a cold chain, as well as a laboratory for testing food, water, air, items of general use and ionizing radiation.

Prime Minister Novalić said that today they visited the center where the vaccines are located, from where the immunization process in BiH starts, and that they saw that everything has been done according to the highest standards.

“We saw that the vaccine material is primarily professionally located and supervised, as well as that mechanisms are secured in case of a power outage, drop and rise in temperature,” said Prime Minister Novalić in a statement to reporters.

Director of the Institute, Siniša Skočibušić, thanked the FBiH delegation for the visit and pointed out that they at the Institute are striving for a Western European way of vaccination.

According to him, over 800,000 vaccines have been administered so far, and at the end of October, 200,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine and 1,300 doses of Sinovac vaccine expire in the Institute's warehouses.

When it comes to vaccinated persons, Skočibušić stated that 23 percent are fully vaccinated with both doses in the FBiH, while 25 percent are vaccinated with one dose.
