SARAJEVO, October 24 (FENA) - Deputy Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Policy and Planning Mijo Krešić and Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH for Operations Major General Ivica Jerkić led Catholic members of the MoD and AF BiH in a military pilgrimage to Bobovac, which was held yesterday for the eighteenth time.
The Eucharistic celebration at the former seat of medieval Bosnian rulers, on the day of the death of Bosnian Queen Katarina Kosača-Kotromanić, was led by the Cardinal and Archbishop of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese Vinko Puljić, together with the Archbishop coadjutor of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese and the Apostolic Administrator of the Military Ordinariate in BiH, Msgr. Tom Vukšić, with the concelebration of the Vicar General of the Military Ordinariate in the Republic of Croatia, Don Marko Medo, and the Military Vicar of the Slovenian Army, Father Matej Jakopič.
The pilgrimage was attended by a large number of believers from surrounding and distant parishes, in the presence of a delegate from the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Marina Pendeš, President of the Federation of BiH Marinko Čavara and Croatian Ambassador to BiH Ivan Sabolić.
The prayer procession to Bobovac was initiated by Cardinal Puljić in memory of the day of the death of Bosnian Queen Katarina Kosača, October 25, 1478, in order to unite in prayer for personal needs, for their own people and homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also for all peoples and nations. who live in it, it was announced from BiH Ministry of Defense.
