SARAJEVO, October 25 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić received today Major General Alexander Platzer, EUFOR Commander in our country.
The interlocutors discussed the activities and importance of the EUFOR mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an emphasis on Operation ALTHEA.
Chairman Komšić welcomed the recent decision of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, which gave full support to the continuation of Operation ALTHEA in our country, and stressed that he hoped that this decision would be confirmed by the UN Security Council in November.
Komšić mentioned the recently held exercise "EUFOR Rapid Response 2021", in which the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina also participated, and assessed it as successful.
He thanked the EUFOR mission for their long-term engagement dedicated to a safe and stable environment in our country, and the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of defense, stated the Presidency of BiH.
