SARAJEVO, October 26 (FENA) - At today's session, the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly discussed the principles of the Bill on Amendments to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposed by MPs Nermin Nikšić, Saša Magazinović, Nada Mladina and Zukan Helez.

The Bill proposes lowering the threshold within the candidate lists from 20 to 10 percent, which would ensure, according to the proponents, that voters have a much greater influence on the composition of elected members of parliament, in addition to affecting the number of party votes.

During the vote, the proposed law did not receive the required entity majority from the MPs from the RS, thus the Bill was sent to the Collegium for harmonization.

For the same reason, all other items on the agenda that were discussed today were sent to the Collegium of the House for harmonization.

The session of the House of Representatives of the state parliament was mostly held without the presence of MPs from the political parties coming from the entity of Republika Srpska.
