BANJA LUKA, October 27 (FENA) - A session of the Republika Srpska National Assembly began in Banja Luka today with an address by the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Milorad Dodik.

The session was organized at his request to declare the decisions of the Presidency of BiH harmful to the vital entity interests of the Republika Srpska, and today he called on the deputies to support this proclamation by a two-thirds majority.

Among other things, the deputies should comment on the conclusions on the opening of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Sarajevo and the office of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in BiH in Banja Luka. The deputies are also facing the Decision on the acceptance of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on mutual protection and exchange of classified information relating to the Agreement in the field of the defense industry.

Dodik emphasized that the Dayton Peace Agreement is now more endangered than ever, and reiterated earlier views that BiH is run by foreigners, emphasizing that four judges of the BiH Constitutional Court are foreigners, and referred to the imposed amendments to the BiH Criminal Code prohibiting genocide denial and glorifying war criminals.

At the session of the Presidency of BiH, Dodik did not support the decision to open a consulate of the Russian Federation in Banja Luka, around which he also aroused vital entity interest, although, he told MPs today, he was working on negotiations on opening that diplomatic mission. He called on the deputies not to support him in that.

“I want to invite you to confirm our agreed unity in today's vote on joint action at the level of state institutions and show that RS, our people, and their interests are most important and that we want cooperation with all good and friendly relations, but we are not ready to lose competencies,” said Dodik.
