BANJA LUKA, November 2 (FENA) – RS member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik, reacting to information from High Representative Christian Schmidt's report to the UN Security Council, reiterated an earlier position that Schmidt should first obtain confirmation from the Security Council that he was generally appointed to the position of High Representative.
"What he wrote in his report is a lot of slander against Serbs and RS and some Croats," Dodik said, adding that the document was "full of lies, inaccuracies and speculation and therefore will not pass in the Security Council."
Dodik points out that he will wait a day or two to see what will happen.
“We have nothing against Althea (EUFOR), and the High Representative has nothing to ask for. This time it will definitely be decided whether or not there is a High Representative. I don't think he's there and he won't be. Everything he would impose doesn't matter. The Bonn Powers are nothing to us. Let him go to the Security Council and get what he needs, so we can talk, and this way we have nothing to talk about,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.
A session of the UN Security Council has been announced for tomorrow, at which the 15-member Security Council should discuss the situation in BiH and reauthorize the EU-led peacekeeping force EUFOR, as well as the discussion of the report of the High Representative of the International Community in BiH.
