SARAJEVO, November 4 (FENA) - We welcome the extension of Althea’s executive mandate under the framework of a UNSC resolution, said today in its stated the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
EUFOR continues to be an important element in strengthening security and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are basic requirements for moving forward on the EU reform path.
Through EUFOR, the EU is and will remain committed to supporting BiH in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
The EU reiterates its full support to the High Representative, his mandate and his authority. We look forward to continued good cooperation with the Office of the High Representative on the remaining conditions/objectives of the 5+2 agenda.
The EU will continue its support for the country to fulfil the 14 key priorities from the Commission Opinion on its EU membership application.
