Record revenues from indirect taxes collected

SARAJEVO, November 17 (FENA) - Since the establishment of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH (ITA BiH) record revenues from indirect taxes have been collected in this year (January-October) in relation to the same period in 2019, which is 257 million KM more, and 924 million KM more compared to the previous 2020.
 
Revenues from indirect taxes for the period January-October this year amounted to six billion and 903 million KM and are higher by 924 million KM or 15.47 percent compared to the same period in 2020 when they amounted to five billion and 979 million KM, ITA BiH told FENA.
 
For the period January-October this year, the ITA returned one billion and 220 million KM of VAT refunds to the economy, so that the net revenues collected, which were distributed to beneficiaries, namely the state, entities and the Brčko District, amounted to five billion and 683 million KM and are higher by 777 million KM in relation to the revenues that beneficiaries received from the Single Account in the same period in 2020.
 
The amount of 644 million KM has been allocated for the financing of state institutions for the period January-October this year. A total of three billion and 105 million KM has been allocated to the Federation of BiH, 1 billion and 714 million KM to the Republika Srpska, and 172 million KM to the Brcko District.
 
Based on the special toll for the construction of motorways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 KM), the Federation of BiH received an additional 179.1 million KM, the Republika Srpska 118.4 million KM and the Brcko District 6.1 million KM. The difference represents a reserve on a special toll account in the amount of 0.25 KM.
