MOSTAR, November 21 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has adopted a Decree on measures of financial assistance to crafts and other self-employment activities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of mitigating the negative consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, announced the FBiH Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts yesterday.
As stated, the goal of providing financial assistance to crafts and other self-employment activities in the FBiH is the survival of crafts and other self-employment activities, preservation of jobs, as well as providing liquidity support to mitigate the negative consequences of the covid-19 pandemic.
The total financial resources for the implementation of this regulation are provided in the Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2021 in the amount of 60,000,000 KM.
According to this regulation, financial assistance funds will be allocated for the purpose of refunding the already paid part of the gross salary for employees of crafts and other self-employment activities, as well as the part of contributions calculated on the prescribed basis for owners of crafts and other self-employment activities for the period August 1, 2020 to July 31, 2021. Financial assistance will be provided to all crafts and other self-employment activities that meet the conditions prescribed by the Regulation.
The total amount of financial assistance per beneficiary for crafts and other self-employment activities under this regulation is a maximum of 30,000 KM.
The FBiH Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, with the support of UNDP, has developed a web platform with a list of eligible beneficiaries based on data obtained from official records of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Ministry stated that they expect that financial assistance will be provided to more than 20,000 beneficiaries, i.e.40,000 employees, and the exact amount of assistance to each beneficiary will be published on the final list in December 2021.
