FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, November 22 (FENA) - On the occasion of marking the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium, organized by the Center for Diaspora "Network", the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić held a meeting with business people from the German district of Saarland.

The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, addressed the gatherings hosted by diaspora associations in recent days. During these visits, he paid special attention to meetings with successful businesses from the diaspora, where they discussed economic topics with presentations of specific data.

"I found a mature and advanced business community that has taken its part in very demanding European economies and that is very successful in dealing with all challenges. They have stood on their feet and there is a desire to redirect that experience and part of the capital to the homeland. We should not forget that their potential is not only in the accumulated capital, but also in the acquired experience and knowledge from various fields, and they can redirect it to the homeland," said Novalić.

He added that the business people have expressed special interest in newly adopted legislation on contributions and income tax, renewable energy sources, as well as on the recently established Draft Law on Public-Private Partnerships in the FBiH.

"I can announce the formation of a new agency for servicing our investors in order to overcome administrative barriers, investment difficulties and monitor post-investment activities. This will eliminate many problematic issues that plague investors from the diaspora," announced Novalić.

The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH pointed out that he noticed the huge interest of the diaspora to invest in the economic strengthening of the country.
