SARAJEVO, November 24 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of BiH last night at an emergency meeting on the occasion of the strike and demands of the miners of seven mines in FBiH made a decision to form a negotiating team for talks with representatives of miners.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister of FBiH, Fadil Novalić, said that he had convened a meeting with members of the Government, the trade union, the director of Elektroprivreda BiH and the Management Board, and that they had also invited the Miners' Union.

“I wanted to hear what the exact problem was and unfortunately I did not receive an answer and in that sense we formed a negotiating group that should decide with the mine unions what the problem is,” said Novalić.

FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić said that at the meeting they presented the demands of the unions and analyzed each of the eight prominent demands.

“Some of the requests are logical and we will accept them, some are not and we need to talk. It is impossible to dismiss all seven directors, we would bring everything to collapse,” said the FBiH Minister, emphasizing that some of the demands are acceptable immediately, but that further negotiations are needed.

Some of the miners spent the night in front of the FBiH Government building.
