SARAJEVO, November 24 (FENA) - European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Várhelyi is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina and will meet today with a number of BiH officials.
A meeting is planned in the building of the Presidency of BiH with the chairman and members of the Presidency Željko Komšić, Šefik Džaferović and Milorad Dodik.
Várhelyi is also scheduled to meet with BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija, and the meeting should be attended by Finance and Treasury Minister Vjekoslav Bevanda and Security Minister Selmo Cikotić.
According to the protocol of the visit, Várhelyi is scheduled to visit Banja Luka, where he should meet with the President of the Republika Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, and that member of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik, should also attend the meeting.
The European Commissioner's visit comes at a difficult time for BiH, when Republika Srpska representatives have been blocking the work of state institutions since July, when amendments to the Criminal Code came into force, banning genocide denial and glorifying war criminals, blocking BiH's progress towards the European Union.
