SARAJEVO, November 24 (FENA) - Progress on Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to the European Union and the need to reach an agreement on de-escalating the situation in BiH were the main topics of today's meeting of the BiH Presidency members with the European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Oliver Várhelyi, who is visiting BiH.

The BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik told reporters in Sarajevo that the position was repeated that BiH is in the biggest political crisis since the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, but Dodik claims that BiH is in a constant crisis since the Dayton PA.

"Now they are attempting to make a foothold for unconstitutional decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH, such as the ruling on state property that was previously ruled or agreed in the Constitution of BiH. That is not the competence of BiH," added Dodik.

His proposal is that "the two entities and the Brčko District reach an agreement on the property where they will recognize that the property located in the territory of the entity belongs to the entities and that in that respect the property determined by the succession of the former Yugoslavia located in other countries belongs to the state of BiH."

He also suggests that "the entities can allow the state to use this property if the state needs to and when it comes to the BiH Armed Forces formed by agreement between the two entities," Dodik suggests that they be reduced by half in composition and costs.

On the other hand, Dodik says that Várhelyi emphasized the need to preserve peace and stability, which is reasonable for him because he claims that "Republika Srpska has never called for any kind of war."

"The approach of the Commissioner was a fair one in the sense of continuing with the European path and moving to the operational phase related to the Investment Plan. I said that we will support any decision that means the realization of projects because it is untrue that the state institutions are blocked," says Dodik.
