BANJA LUKA, December 5 (FENA) - Republika Srpska remains committed to respecting the letter of the BiH Constitution and all our actions will continue with the aim of respecting the BiH Constitution as it was written down, said the BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik said at a press conference held in Banja Luka on Saturday.

This means, as he added, that the RS will continue with its activities related to "the cancellation of the imposed laws," i.e. that "it will adopt its own legislation in accordance with the Constitution."

As for the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dodik said that they "talked for an hour in Moscow, adding that most of the time was spent on political issues."

"Russia is a witness to the Dayton Agreement and intends to actively participate in its implementation. We talked about what was done and how much the Dayton Agreement itself was violated, and above all the BiH Constitution, and that speculative reasons are now being given for putting the blame exclusively on the RS, although it is known that the High Representative had no right to impose any of those decisions and he did it 140 times in total," stated Dodik.

He added that he was "impressed by how familiar Putin was with all the details" and said Putin told him there would be no support for the naming of a high representative in the UN Security Council.

"Domestic actors should solve issues, and not have someone do it from outside. Russia does not interfere in the internal relations of BiH as others do," Dodik added.

He also mentioned that he talked with the President of Russia about other issues, such as negotiations on changes to the Election Law, the price of gas and the construction of a gas pipeline, the construction of a Russian cultural center in Banja Luka.

Commenting on the allegations in the media that no official news or photos were published from the meeting that he allegedly had with Putin, he said that "the press service of the President of Russia was in charge of that."

"As for these allegations, whether there was a meeting or not, I can just say it was a big and very important meeting, and these are the stories of some small, evil people and I do not want to say anything about these people," Dodik added.
