SARAJEVO, December 6 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić received a letter of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to BiH, based in Budapest Modupe Irele.
Komšić pointed out that today's handover of credentials continues the successful cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nigeria, a large country with huge potentials and a significant factor on the African continent.
He believes that the current cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nigeria should be even more intensive and meaningful, pointing out that in such relations, BiH has great economic potential and natural resources. In that sense, it was jointly stated that the development in the agricultural activity, food industry, energy, metal and special-purpose industry and tourism is of special interest.
Nigerian Ambassador Modupe Irele emphasized that she would make every effort during the term to deepen relations between the two countries, seek to enhance friendly ties between their peoples and strengthen the trade partnership, which has been slowed by the COVID pandemic 19.
She emphasized that as an ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, she will make every effort to revive, maintain and increase trade and investment activities between the two countries, the BiH Presidency said.
