SARAJEVO, December 7 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac received today in Sarajevo Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Riza Tuna Turagay, with whom he discussed improving economic relations and strengthening foreign trade.
They pointed out at the meeting that the relations between the two countries are good and friendly, and that there are no open issues.
Minister Košarac emphasized that the Republic of Turkey is an important foreign trade partner of BiH, and that there is room for improving bilateral cooperation and overall economic relations.
"Using partnership and good political relations, which were confirmed during the recent meeting between the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik and the President of the Republic of Turkey Erdogan in Ankara, we are determined to work intensively on connecting entrepreneurs and strengthening economic ties between BiH and Turkey,” pointed out Minister Košarac.
Minister Košarac informed Deputy Minister Turagay about the clear policy and commitment of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH when it comes to opening new markets for the placement of domestic products.
"The EU is an important partner, but we are aware of the fact that there are certain problems. Therefore, we fully affirm the policy of improving existing and opening markets of other countries for BiH entrepreneurs, with special focus on CEFTA countries, Turkey, Eurasian Customs Union and China ", said Minister Košarac.
The officials also emphasized the importance of building the Belgrade-Sarajevo motorway for all citizens and countries in the region, especially from the aspect of strengthening cooperation and regional connections, the BiH CoM said.
