SARAJEVO, April 7 (FENA) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) believes that the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, should by no means engage in a new imposition of changes to the FBiH Constitution, but that, as he insisted earlier, the formation of a new government must be achieved through a political agreement.
“His announcement that in case no agreement is reached, he will impose a new solution only encourages the parties of the Troika to continue blocking the processes, expecting that the High Representative will bring them to power with his decision, which is inadmissible,” the SDA announced.
Given that the High Representative emphasized the will of the democratic majority in his statement, SDA reminds him that this democratic majority in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament yesterday adopted a declaration opposing the OHR changing the FBiH Constitution and that an identical declaration was also adopted in the last convocation of the Parliament.
The SDA believes that "the new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina can only be reached through a political agreement, and since the end of the elections, we have been insisting on this".
They again call on the political parties whose representatives are elected to the leadership of the Federation (SDA, SDP and HDZ) to start a political dialogue and reach an agreement in accordance with the Constitution and the election results.
At the same time, the SDA points out that they are ready at any moment for talks that would lead to a solution, respecting the will of the majority in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament.
“By insisting on strict respect for the Constitution, the SDA does not block processes. On the contrary, the blockades are produced by HDZ and Troika which persistently refuse any political dialogue,” it is stated in the statement.
