NEW YORK, December 9 (FENA) – The United Nations marked the 76th anniversary of the Genocide Convention with a high-level event dedicated to the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of This Crime. Themed "Remembrance and Prevention: The Role of Commemoration and Memory for the Prevention of Genocide", the event brought together diplomats, survivors, and advocates for a world free from the scourge of genocide.
