BANJA LUKA, January 10 (FENA) - I did not come to Bosnia and Herzegovina, but to attend holiday celebration in Repubika Srpska, stated today the president of the self-proclaimed and internationally unrecognized South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov said, commenting on certain statements that Georgia has sent a diplomatic note to Bosnia and Herzegovina because of his presence in Banja Luka on the occasion of the ‘RS Day’.
“We do not anyone’s permission for the visit. Moreover, we do not need to seek permission from Georgia, which has continually destroyed the people of South Ossetia,” said Bibilov, but added that they want “good mutual relations with everyone who wants it, even with Georgia.”
During a meeting with RS President Milorad Dodik he said that “the establishment and development of the two republics has been almost the same, as if they are twins."
"We have the same worldview and we evaluate the events in the same way and we have the same attitude towards our strategic partner - the Russian Federation," Bibilov said at a press conference.
The entity president Milorad Dodik believes that the cooperation between RS and South Ossetia is legitimate, having in mind, as he said, "a common history that is significantly similar between our two republics."
He criticized the Swiss ambassador to BiH because of her letter to him in which she stated that RS should not be celebrating January 9 as the ‘RS Day’. Dodik considers this as “an act of interfering in internal affairs of BiH and the ambassador’s ignorance of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina".
