ZENICA, January 14 (FENA) - The Speaker of the Assembly of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Jasmin Duvnjak, and the Secretary of the Assembly Ibrahim Avdagić, received a delegation of EUFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by EUFOR Commander, Major General Anton Waldner.
At the meeting, the two delegations discussed the current economic, social and security situation in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
General Waldner was informed about the current and official data of all police structures on the state of security in the ZDC, which has been assessed as satisfactory, based on the analysis on crime, traffic safety and public order.
“Our today's visit to the ZDC was planned as part of the tour of EUFOR LOT’s in this area and to become more informed about security in this area through cooperation with local authorities in the canton and municipalities, since we also visited the local community in Zavidovići,” said Waldner.
They jointly concluded that the Zenica-Doboj Canton is a peaceful area in which there are no problems noticed in other parts of BiH, but that the social and economic situation should and must be improved in the interest of better lives of citizens.
