FENA Press release

JAHORINA, January 15 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak met today with the US Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack and assessed that this year will be important for the continuation of economic reforms.

During the talks on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, they expressed views that the country will need to begin a serious fight against corruption and organized crime, because the rule of law and accountability for a high degree of corruption are a priority for all citizens of BiH.

The interlocutors jointly noted that the holding of fair and democratic elections, as well as the implementation of electoral results at all levels is of great importance for democratic development in BiH, stated the Public Relations Office of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister Crnadak also said that he will visit Washington in February, where he will meet with representatives of the US administration and the Congress, as well as with the academic community, in order to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
