SARAJEVO, January 18 (FENA) - Deciding on the Motion filed by the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to order suspect Zdenko Grbavac into pre-trial custody, on 17 January 2018 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a decision ordering the suspect into pre-trial custody, which may last no longer than one month running from the day of his arrest, or until 16 February 2018, or pending a different decision by the Court.
Having established the existence of grounded suspicion, the Court ordered custody on the custody grounds set forth in Article 132(1), Subparagraphs a) and b), of the BiH Criminal Procedure Code, which means due to the existence of flight risk, and because of the existence of particular circumstances indicating that the suspect would hinder the criminal proceedings by interfering with the witnesses and accomplices, stated the BiH Court.
Zdenko Grbavac is suspected of the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)a) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH), as read with Article 180(1) of the same Code.
