SARAJEVO, January 18 (FENA) - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted today the Strategy for the Control of Narcotics, Prevention and Suppression of Abuse of Narcotics in BiH for the period 2018-2023, confirmed to the media the BiH Security Minister Dragan Mektić.

He said that experts from all police agencies in BiH had participated in its development.

Mr. Mektić noted that after the adoption of the Strategy, it is an obligation of all BiH police agencies to adopt their own action plans regarding the implementation of this strategy, in accordance with their competencies.

“The task force working on the Strategy will, most likely, at the next session of the BiH Council of Ministers, be given the mandate to monitor the overall implementation of the Strategy, so that we could launch all mechanisms in order for the Strategy to be meaningful as a document,” Mr. Mektić said.
