SARAJEVO, January 22 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Member Bakir Izetbegović received Ambassador of Great Britain to BiH Edward Ferguson.
The collocutors emphasized the importance of adopting the Law on Amendments to the Law on Excises in BiH and its positive impact on further economic development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
They also discussed the completion of the budget adoption process at all levels of government, with a special emphasis on the development program of the budget of the Federation of BiH.
They also noted the significant progress in fulfilling the Tallinn Terms for the activation of the Action Plan for BiH’s membership in NATO.
The Ambassador of Great Britain informed Mr. Izetbegović about the framework program of the Berlin Process Summit, which will be held in July in London.
They exchanged opinions regarding the process of finding solutions for amendments to the Election Law of BiH, with Mr. Izetbegović reiterating his previous position that in the election processes it is necessary to ensure the equality of all peoples and citizens in the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mr. Izetbegović also stressed that it is necessary to ensure the consensus of all parliamentary political parties for the changes of electoral legislation, regardless of whether they are currently in the government or opposition, because these issues affect all political options and all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the BiH Presidency.
