SARAJEVO January 23 (FENA) – In 2017, Bosnia and Herzegovina exported goods worth 11.054 billion KM, which is up by 17.4 percent compared to the previous year, while imports amounted to 18.134 billion KM, which is 12.2 percent more than in 2016.
According to the BiH Statistics Agency, the coverage of import by export was 61 percent, whereas the foreign trade deficit amounted to 7.081 billion KM.
Exports to CEFTA countries last year amounted to 1.79 billion KM, which is 28.5 percent more than in 2016, while imports amounted to 2.319 billion KM, up by 12.1 percent. The coverage of import by export with CEFTA countries was 77.2 percent.
Exports to EU countries last year amounted to 7.866 billion KM, which is 16.8 percent more than in 2016. Imports amounted to 11.076 billion KM, up by 10.7 percent. The coverage of import by export with the EU countries amounted to 71 percent.
