SARAJEVO, January 26 (FENA) - Assistant Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina for International Cooperation Zoran Šajinović and the Military Attaché of the United States of America to BiH, Brigadier Mark M. Karas, signed the "Mil to Mil" program today between the Armed Forces of BiH and the Maryland National Guard for 2018.
After a series of meetings held with the representatives of the Joint Staff of the AF BiH and the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) of the US Embassy in BiH, the proposal of the Mil-Mil Mil Program between the AF BiH and the National Guard Maryland for 2018 has been agreed, as confirmed by today's signing of the bilateral cooperation program at the Ministry of Defense of BiH.
The implementation of the planned activities from this program will further strengthen the cooperation between the AF BiH and the National Guard of Maryland, which will result in further strengthening of the capabilities and capacities of the AF BiH, and the degree of interoperability and compatibility of the AF BiH with the partner countries' forces will be raised to a higher level.
Brigadier Karas thanked the representatives of the MoD and the AF BiH for successful cooperation, emphasizing its importance, which enhances the overall relations between BiH and the US, and at the same time, implies the support of the United States to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path towards EU and NATO integration.
The Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) of the US Embassy in BiH has continuously provided significant support to the AF BiH in military equipment, services and financial resources, and the signing of this program confirms the commitment of the US Government to support the reform activities in the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH, stated the Public Relations Office of the BiH Ministry of Defense.
