ZENICA, February 2 (FENA) - Rahul Chhabra, the Non-resident Ambassador of India to BiH, was today in a working visit to the Zenica-Doboj Canton, where he met with the cantonal Prime Minister Miralem Galijašević, and announced that the cooperation with this canton will be significantly expanded in 2018.
The two officials exchanged information on the state of the economy, the social and economic aspects in the ZDC, as well as the activities of India in BiH.
“We informed the ambassador about the opportunities for economic and any other exchange, and we received a concrete proposal for student scholarships and cooperation, since India wants to open two IT centers in Sarajevo and Banja Luka,” said Galijašević after the meeting.
Ambassador Chhabra thanked his hosts for an open and frank cooperation and announced that several events will be held in Zenica to mark important dates, such as International Yoga Day in mid-June.
“We have invited the businesspeople to take part in business meetings in India in March this year, and we want to present all the opportunities offered by India for cooperation with BiH through a series of programs and projects, so we are looking forward to having more events of this kind in BiH.
I am particularly looking forward to visiting Zavidovići, because I will get acquainted with many details related to that local community, and especially with Krivaja company and its problems,” said Ambassador Chhabra.
